Video Game Design Club

DSC_1578webOur popular Video Game Design Club is back, re-imagined! If you have a passion for playing and designing video games, check out the MakersFactory’s Video Game Design Club! The club includes self-led curriculum: students decide what to work on each week and have free creative reign over the game. Students gain valuable skills using GameMaker Studios, one of the most popular game design software suites, which will establish a solid foundation in programming skills. We will publish the student’s games to our website so that they can show their family and friends! Students work from a “template” game which changes and updates every several months so that students can design games in a variety of genres. Template games include “Platformer” (think Mario) “RPG” (think Zelda) “Space Shooter” and more!
