Design Services
If you’re looking to have something 3D printed or laser cut, but your design isn’t in digital form yet, our technical designers can help.  We can design models from scratch, alter existing models, prepare models for fabrication, create animated works for presentations, and more.

Design Rate: $125/hr*

Please Note: Our technician works part time only, currently two days per week. Please keep this in mind when working on a project deadline.

*prices include service fees for editing objects and for design consultations

Material Prices
Vinyl: $2/square foot
MDF, 1/8″ thick: $3/1′x2′ sheet
MDF, 1/4″ thick: $5/1′x2′ sheet
Acrylic, 3mm thick: $20/1′x2′ sheet
Acrylic, 6mm thick: $25/1′x2′ sheet
Laminate finish MDF ¼’’: $7/1′x2′ sheet

Machine Run Prices
Extrusion Printer: $50/hr ($25 project minimum)
Laser Cutter: $50/hr ($50 project minimum)
Laser Engraving: $0.30/square inch

Powder Print Prices
310 Machine: $12.5/cubic inch
650 Machine (white): $10/cubic inch
650 Machine (color): $15/cubic inch

Private Tutoring
$90/hr
Includes a private one-on-one session with a MakersFactory tech or principal on any program or machine we use. This includes the following programs/machines: Trimble SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, Blender (Principal Only), Rhinoceros (Principal Only)

Birthday Parties

Flat fee of $185 plus $10 material cost per child. Additional costs may be added for over 15 children.
